New Tata Curvv Coupe SUV

The New Tata Curvv Coupe SUV will redefine India’s Auto Scene in a way that is reminiscent of the BMW S5, with a Sportback-style rear end common in many manufacturers’ lineups; it’s going to be the only coupe SUV body style in India. The front will have LED DRLs extending across the width up to the ORVMs. While the Tata EV Curvv will not have any grille, this ICE version has a chequered grille. Both of them have sharp designs with plenty of cuts and creases, and at the rear are inverted L-shaped LED taillamps across the length of the tailgate.
Tata Curvv Coupe Platform
The Tata Curvv will be based on Tata Motors’ X1 platform, which also underpins the Tata Nexon, originally derived from the Indica Vista. The X1 platform has been re-engineered to meet Gen 2 architecture standards and comply with Bharat NCAP norms. Though the platform of Curvv will differ from the Nexon’s, it has been stretched to accommodate a longer wheelbase of 2600mm against Nexon’s 2498mm. The overall length will be around 4.3 meters.
Tata Curvv Coupe Interior
The cabin of the Tata Curvv will focus on functionality and simplicity. Floating infotainment, an uncluttered dashboard, a digital instrument cluster, and two-spoke steering with media controls along with an illuminated Tata logo can be carried over from the Nexon. Touch-sensitive HVAC controls, a powered tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof will also be available.
Tata Curvv Coupe Powertrains
The first to come will be the EV version of the Tata Curvv, while the petrol-engine variant will be launched later. This will comprise the petrol variants, including the 1.2-litre and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unveiled at the Auto Expo. The 1.2-litre TGDI will also come with an output of 125bhp and is available with two torque tunes—that are 190Nm and 223Nm—with the sportier version outputting 225Nm. A BS6 RDE-compliant diesel variant is also under development. This ICE shall be fitted with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol churning out 168 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, mated to quite possibly a DCA gearbox with a manual option.
